You may have heard of the Winterlicious and Summerlicious Festivals in Toronto, but did you know that, since 2019, over 100 restaurants and food vendors in the GTA have been participating in an Asian cuisine festival called Asialicious Carnival? Just like the Winterlicious and Summerlicious festivals, patrons in the Asialicious Carnival can order foods from price-fixe menus (set at $10, $20, $30, and $40) that are only available during the 3-day event. This year, the Asialicious Carnival will run from September 15th to 17th, with the final day celebrations to take place at Woodside Square Mall in Scarborough. The theme of this year’s Asialicious Carnival is Japan! Event organizers say there will be cosplay parade, anime performance showcase, and other live performances at the Woodside Square Mall. The Asialicious Carnival is sponsored by the City of Toronto with grants from the Government of Canada. Through their website, the event organizers say they hope to promote “cross-cultural understanding and community engagement while supporting Toronto’s thriving Asian food scene”. The Asialicious Carnival has attracted over 25,000+ patrons in 2022, so if you are a food vendor or a restaurant in the GTA that specializes in Asian cuisine, this might be a good chance to gain more exposure to potential customers!
