Toronto Mayor John Tory announced in early March that street festivals, concerts, and outdoor events will be coming back to Toronto this spring and summer. This is welcome news to not only businesses and event organizers but to everyone in Toronto who have not been able to participate in any public festivities over the past two years. Among the many events to return to Toronto this year are: The CNE, Toronto Caribbean Carnival, Nuit Blanche, TD Toronto Jazz Festival, Pride Festival, Toronto Food Truck Festival, Veld Music Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, TD JerkFest, Taste of the Danforth, Honda Indy, and Doors Open Toronto.
The CNE, for one, is super excited to be back this year, as they have already started selling admission tickets on their website, even though The Ex doesn’t start until August 19th. City Culture Events (part of the City of Toronto’s Economic Development and Culture Division) has partnered with the Canadian Food Truck Festival this year to bring in more food vendors to enhance the relaunch of public outdoor events like Canada Day and Nuit Blanche (if you are a food vendor and you’d like to participate in these events, please reach out to the Canadian Food Truck Festival at: [email protected]).
